Speakers: Irene Messina

Topic: Miltonias

A very experienced grower will tell us about how she and her husband grow Miltonias (technically Miltoniopsis) on Long Island. These are the pansy orchids, usually fragrant, that we all try to grow but seldom grow well.

We've ordered a lot of plants for sale at the meeting, from Ivan Komoda, a Hawai'ian grower who specialized in these wonderful plants. We will also have a big (in all senses) plant raffle.

If you are not yet a member, you can try before you buy! You are invited to attend a meeting to see what it"s like, even before you join.

Learning from fellow hobbyists with similar interests and growing conditions is the best way to achieve success! Our members are happy to share their tips and expertise. We grow on windows, under lights, in greenhouses and gardens, here in New York City!
